About Us

AziOur founder. Azadeh “Azi” Imandel started ErgonomicWorks in 2012 to address a growing need for ergonomic training, tools and workspace/lab design for everyone: students, home office workers, and those in small and large business spaces.

As an expert in the field, Azi noticed how many people buy over-the-counter (OTC) ergonomic products (from office chairs, to keyboard wrist rests, to back braces…) for carpal tunnel, neck and back pain, and more. Without being evaluated by a professional – to select the right equipment, ensure proper fit and explain how to use ergonomic tools – OTC devices often hurt more than help.

ErgonomicWorks first clients were UCLA, NBC Universal, and the County of Los Angeles, where Azi led return to work, risk management and OSHA-compliance inspections, remediation, installations and training. Her extensive Ergonomic and Environmental Health and Safety background, and focus on serving and educating clients, has made ErgonomicWorks a go-to partner for LA-area businesses, nonprofits, schools, labs and at-home workers.

Azi Imandel’s credentials. She is a Certified Ergonomist (license # 1850) with a Master’s degree in Safety, Security, Emergency Management and Ergonomics, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and Safety. Azi has ongoing education certificates in Workplace Safety and Ergonomics (e.g., IAQ Training and Consulting, HAZWOPER, and California Hazardous Waste). She is currently pursuing WCCA and PHR certifications.

Our team. Azi heads a team of talented consultants at ErgonomicWorks! Each Engineer has 10-plus years of workplace assessment and product design experience.
